IInka Romani is a dancer and choreographer working across the performing arts. Based in Valencia, Spain, she works independently on projects that explore the body and its movement, combining somatic practices with dance styles ranging from Spanish traditional dances to contemporary and urban styles.
She trained in contemporary dance at the Conservatory of Valencia, where she was later awarded a scholarship to study at the Centre National de Développement Chorégraphique de Toulouse – Midi Pyrénées. She also holds a degree in communication from the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja and a master's in artistic creation at the Fine Arts Faculty in Valencia.
She has worked with venues and companies across Europe and the US, including Sadler's Wells Theatre (London) and La Mutant (Valencia), and with choreographers such as Marquez & Zangs, Germana Civera, and Core Dance Performance Company, among others.
She has been an artist-in-residence at KVS Brussels, La Licorera – Biennial of Dance of Cali (Colombia), El Graner (Barcelona), and Graners de Creació (2023–2025). In 2024, she received a danceWEB scholarship at ImPulsTanz Festival, Vienna. She was later an artist-in-residence at the Cité internationale des arts, Paris (2024–2025), and at K3 – Zentrum für Choreographie, Hamburg (2025–2026). She is currently an associate artist at Mercat de Les Flors for the 2026–2029 seasons.
Her work has been presented at festivals and venues including Festival Dansa València, La Casa Encendida, Conde Duque, Dansa Metropolitana, Tanz im August, and Festival de Marseille, among others.
